(SPOILER FOR HARRY POTTER [no exact info, but general idea])
So I accidentally stumbled across a confirmed scan of the first page of the epilogue of Harry Potter and the Deathly Hallows. I really wish I hadn't because it seems like they just stuck in random fanfiction they found on the net. I am still looking forward to reading the book to finding out h ow everything happened and what is to come of all of the mysterious characters, but the ending is just nowhere near worth it.
Ah well, it had it's run for a good portion of my life so far. |

As of today I am dreadless.
It was a good experience that I am glad I went through, but I am also glad it is over.
That is all. |

So yeah, I'm done with High School. That's kinda cool. And for those who don't know I'm going to St. Olaf College in Minnesota. I'm kinda psyched.
I don't have much to say, just an update so people know I'm alive. |

So I'm pretty pumped about college.
I got into everywhere I applied: Mizzou, Cornell College, St. Olaf, and I just found out today George Washington Univeristy as well. All of them are giving me scholarships too, so that's cool. Now all I have to do is decide where to go.
Bah, too much pressure! |

I've kinda come to realize that I'm really uninteresting. I basically do nothing all week long and then nothing all weekend. Week after week. I go out with friends and whatnot, but nothing really meaningful, just kind of go through the motions. I do have things to do, but I either don't care about it, or am just plain lazy. I think I'm losing my memory too. I can barely keep track of what day it is, let alone what homework I have or what college stuff I'm supposed to turn in.
Earlier tonight I sat at this computer with an IM window open and couldn't think of one thing to say to anyone. Anything past "hey, how's it going" is just too complicated for me to think of.
I can see why I never get calls to do anything or have people want to talk, because I have nothing to say. Nothing at all. Not one single original, interesting thought.
Ah well, such is the bread of an everyday life... |

So Thursday night was THE concert. Here's a play by play:
1) Roll up to Pop's with Will Griggs and my Dad (yes, he loves Flogging Molly almost as much as I do).
2) Chill and discuss the meaning of life with Will.
3) Listen to a musically good, but lyrically bad band called Steerhead. Marvel at the crazy drummer.
4) Watch the coolest British Punk band I've ever seen, called the Dead Pets. Honestly I was rocking out non-stop and having a great time the entire time they were on stage. They played a song called "Fuck Emo" that made me laugh a lot and made up a new word for the typical 'emo' hairstyle: 'fringie frazzles'. Then they played Great Balls of Fire and everyone danced. In conclusion, I want to see them again.
5) watched the Briggs from LA. Cool band, but I just wasn't feeling them. Don't really know why.
6) Flogging Effing Molly! Opened with Drunken Lullabies as they always do and continued to kick out the beats for 2 straight hours. They played everything I wanted to hear from Devil's Dance Floor to Seven Deadly Sins to Rebels of the Sacred Heart to Queen Anne's Revenge to Tobacco Island and so on. In between they chilled out with If I Ever Leave This World and Factory Girls where the fiddle/tin whistle player sang the female part of the duet. Amazing. I actually crowd-surfed too. My favorite band and my favorite song, so I thought it was about time. I danced so much during this show that I am still physically tired right now. AH, so good!
That's about it, but oh what a night it was! |

So I really want to be off at college somewhere right now. My mom and I are getting in more and more fights over little things just because she's going to miss me so much when I'm gone. Not waying that I wish that upon her, I just need to be off on my own, and soon!
I'm having a very tough time trying to decide between St. Olaf College and Cornell College. Cornell's one class at a time method is really neat, but I basically fell in love with St. Olaf when I visited. The only thing that bothers me there is how I will fit in with a Lutheran school. Though Lutherans are possibly the chillest of the Christian relgions.
Ah well, I just need to enjoy my friends while we're still together, so I've been making an effort to see everyon I can as often as possible.
So yeah, I want to go visit Truman as well, just for the hell of it, no real reason behind it,
That's all for now, adios. |

[Dec. 14th, 2005|02:31 pm] |
So first semester is comming to an end and it has finally dawned on me that I will be going off to college in less than a year. That is quite exciting. I still don't believe that this is my last year of High School, I mean, it's been so long since anything else.
I wish we had 5 days of weekend and only 2 of school / work, not so I could do nothing, but so I wouldn't have to budget my time with my friends. There are so many people I want to see and talk to, yet only 2 measly days to do it in. Ah well, this break should be a nice one.
Merry Jargins and Happy Whatevers to you all. |

| Wicked Awesome |
[Nov. 24th, 2005|01:00 am] |
So I was forced to question a part of my childhood today. I don't you if you all can hadle this, so if you can't stop reading.
For those who can: Wicked Witch of the West + Scarecrow = .....a couple?
I went to see Wicked today at the Fox, and good god was it amazing. It's kinda a chick flick, but it was still one of the best plays I've seen in a very long time. The singing was amazing, awesome special effects and it was just plain cool to see the backstory of the witches of OZ.
Aye, Thanksgiving = tomorrow, so you all have a good one! |

| Spencer needs _______ |
[Oct. 12th, 2005|03:09 pm] |
HOW IT IS DONE: Go to Google, type in "__________ needs" filling in your name on the blank. Take the first 10 (or most interesting) phrases which come up in the search.
Spencer needs to calm down and take a rest. Spencer needs to be first and best. Spencer needs your help! Spencer needs a sewerage plant. SPENCER NEEDS A HOME. Spencer needs a part-time assistant to manage the office. Spencer needs to see that people are not good or evil simply because they suffer from 'low self-esteem'. Spencer needs to take HR seriously. Spencer needs help to save Kids Group. Spencer needs a dogwalker or Temp. foster home.
heh, funny stuff.
Go ahead and give it a try. |

Mizzou was fun. I like being the only sober person at a party, I get to remember all of the stupid stuff people do then tell them later.
I bought the Firefly box set, thus confirming my place as a loser. (Some of the best $34 ever!)
David M. still has my Tao Te Ching, and I want it back.
Maybe later.
That's about it for now. |

Life has been pretty stressfull lately with applying to colleges, AP Bio and work all crammed in there.
This weekend at Mizzou will be greatly appreciated.
I need to hang with most of the people who read this as it has been far too long. |

So today was my Uncle's wedding.
It started out with a Brewery tour of Anhauser Busch due to the fact that my cousin works for them, which was a great time. I saw a tank where over 200,000 6 packs worth of beer was stored. HUGE.
Then it was wedding time whihc was super-relgious, I mean, who has heard of communion at a wedding?
Then there was the reception party, which started off as a drag but got rediculously better. It might have had something to do with the 2 Screwdrivers, but I was dancing and singing all night.
Ah well, a good time, and finally happy to have them married after a 12 year courtship. |
